Welcome, I’m Tamara Celeste
Mission Driven
I’m on a mission to help active men and women take back control of thier health. As an integrative therapist, I use a blend of mind-body techniques including mindful movement and talk-therapy as a means to help people understand the connection between what’s happening in their lives and what’s happening in their bodies. I’ve found a way to skillfully blend my background as a sports psychologist, yoga instructor, spiritual teacher and energy healer into a transformative Pilates experience for both myself and my students. I aim to arm men and women with the knowledge and skills needed to take their health + healing into their own hands.
As a psychologist, I realized early on that talk therapy alone isn’t enough. Why? Because stress, anxiety and trauma doesn’t just live in the mind, it also lives in the body. And if lasting change is to happen, we must address both the physical and energetic roots of these conditions. The Subtle Body Pilates™ method acts as a doorway for releasing the energies that keep you stuck in unhelpful patterns physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually..
My approach to Pilates is therapeutic in nature. It is trauma-informed, research-based, skillfully executed, and ever-evolving over the past 15 years.
Education/Training
My areas of study land within the realms of psychology, neuroscience, Shamanic healing, bio-energetics, and mindful movement for their respective contributions to personal development, preventive medicine, and whole-body health. A life-long student of the mind-body connection, and a firm believer in the power of the human spirit, my unwavering commitment to embodying this timeless wisdom sets the foundation for my teaching.
I hold a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations from the University of Florida, where I was a 4-year member of the women’s basketball team. I hold a master’s degree in Positive Psychology, specializing in Consciousness + Contemplative Practices. from Life University in Atlanta, GA. My specialities include mindfulness, meditation, energy healing, hypnosis, pilates and yoga therapy.
